Czech Apple Cobbler : easy recipe

Good morning everyone! Here we are at our monthly appointment with “Around the world with apple sweets”, in which I participate with my friends Miria from the blog Due amiche in cucina and Simona from the blog Pensieri e Pasticci. This month I am proposing a Czech Apple Cobbler.

This treat surprised me so much, for its simplicity and for the delightful taste! I was intrigued by the unique preparation, so different from that of the cobblers I knew. I strongly recommend you try this Czech Apple Cobbler friends, because it is really worth it! It can be prepared in a matter of minutes and is really satisfying! It is not too sweet and the grated apples become creamy during the baking process. The crisp layers give a delectable contrast. Czech Apple Cobbler can be served simple, or with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream for a delicious and satisfying dessert … a real delicacy, believe me!

A delicious and easy to make apple sweet

Ingredienti

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • ½ cup caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 apples, peeled and grated
  • 3 tablespoons icing sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 50 g cold butter

Istruzioni

Put the flour, caster sugar and baking powder in a bowl and mix.

Put the grated apples in another bowl. Add the icing sugar, cinnamon and vanilla and mix well.

Grease 3 single-portion baking pans or one small baking pan.

Cover the base with the dry ingredients.

Cover with a layer of apples, then again dry ingredients, apples and lastly dry ingredients.

Grate the cold butter over the last layer, trying to distribute it all over the surface.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180° for about twenty minutes or until the surface of the cobbler is golden brown.

Serve warm or cold.

Note

This sweet treat is best eaten warm and the day it is baked. The next day the cobbler will be just as delicious but not crispy.
