Strawberry and Pan di Stelle Tiramisù

Happy Monday, everybody! How did you spend the weekend? Here “among the bears”, the weather was horrible and as I often do in this case, I decided to treat myself and my family to a sweet treat, just to cheer us up a bit. My Strawberry and Pan di Stelle Tiramisù is not actually a “real” tiramisu. I truly hope the purists of the most famous Italian dessert in the world will forgive me, but I really didn’t know what name to give to this delight. I thought of many names … dessert, creamy treat, semifreddo … none of these totally satisfied me. In the end, I decided for the word “tiramisù” which in Italian literally means “bring me up” or “take me up”. Believe me friends when I tell you that this sweet is really able to “bring us up”, with its beautiful color and its delectable sweetness !

Strawberry and Pan di Stelle Tiramisù is prepared in a matter of minutes. There are no eggs in the cream, so it is ideal for those who cannot or do not want to eat raw eggs. The layers of Pan di Stelle biscuits, alternated with the not too sweet cream and strawberries, give life to a surprising dessert, luscious and delicate at the same time. My dear readers, sooner or later the warmer season will come and this fresh delicacy, will be ideal to offer your guests after dinner or in the afternoon for a snack. It will be so appreciated!

Strawberry and Pan di Stelle Tiramisù

An easy and delicious creamy dessert


  • 250 g fresh strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon caster sugar
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 200 ml non dairy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons icing sugar
  • Pan di Stelle or other chocolate biscuits to need
  • milk to need



Wash the strawberries and set aside 4 or 5 for the final decoration. Chop the remaining ones, put them in a bowl, add the spoonful of caster sugar and mix. Let it marinate while preparing the cream.


Whip the cream cheese with the cream and icing sugar, until you get a smooth and firm cream.


Put some milk in a small bowl and start to assemble the dessert.


Dunk the biscuits in the milk and make a first layer in a small tray.


Cover with a generous layer of cream and then sprinkle with the marinated strawberries.


Make a second layer of biscuits dunked in the milk.


Cover the last layer of biscuits with the rest of the cream and garnish with the strawberries that you put aside. Cut into rounds like I did, or decorate according to your taste.


Cut some biscuits into quarters and place them here and there on the surface of the tiramisù, refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.


Serve sprinkled with a bit of icing sugar.


"Pan di Stelle" are famous Italian chocolate biscuits. They are flat, not too sweet, made with excellent quality cocoa and are very delicate. You can replace them with your favorite chocolate biscuit or cookie. Instead of cream cheese you can use mascarpone. You can replace the strawberries with raspberries.
